My eBay - UPS Experience : While visiting the east coast recently, I had the opportunity to sell an item on eBay for the very first time. Now while I am tech savvy, I am not an expert on eBay. The process, once you go through the online tutorial is not as daunting as I thought. I wanted to sell an electronic typewriter that was in pristine condition, but let us say in a vintage age. I had hoped that it would be a local New Jersey sale. Fortunately, that was not the case. I say fortunately because I got to talk to my buyer on the phone in Florida, and make the acquaintance of the owners of the local UPS Store (#4632) in Brick, NJ. When I brought the unit in for packaging and shipping I really didn't know what to expect. I usually pack my own and bring it in to the UPS store wherever I may be. Bill immediately put me at ease and calculated my costs for packaging this 45 pound monster, and the shipping charges. Both were reasonable and fell within the limits I had set for the sale and shipping. Bill permitted me to watch him work his magic and document the process while I waited. I don't usually endorse a product or service, however, if you ever need something shipped from Brick, NJ, make sure you see Bill & Joy Page at the UPS Store at 930 Cedar Bridge Ave. As you can see from these photos, the unit was well packed and protected before leaving the shop.
