Bruce Lukaszewicz (BELphotos) > I made the photo on the left 10 years ago when the Ramtown Fire Company first installed this unique mailbox fire hydrant. Ten years later I happened to be driving by and they were replacing the old white box which had deteriorated somewhat due to the weather. I made it a point to drive by again a few days later... and here it is...very cool Ramtown Fire Co. I even had the chance to use the new barricade tape copyright.

Bruce Lukaszewicz (BELphotos) > Firefighter Chad Allison – Steven F. Holladay Memorial Award

Firefighter Chad Allison’s hard work and dedication to the Department has earned the respect and admiration of fellow fire fighters.

For the past five years, Firefighter Allison has volunteered hundreds of hours to the Pioneer Hook and Ladder Museum, working his way up to Museum Director. He has assisted with repairs and maintenance of the building, fund raising, and creating new exhibits to display the history of the Fire Service in San Diego.

Firefighter Allison has also contributed his time to many community organizations such as the San Diego Burn Institute, where he helped to fund and construct the “Children’s Fire Safety Room.” Other organizations that have benefited from Fire Fighter Allison’s commitment to provide public service are the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of San Diego County, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the Breast Cancer Foundation.

The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department is proud to present the Steven F. Holladay Memorial Award to Firefighter Chad S. Allison for his high standards in the area of community involvement and his generous gift of time. (Source San Diego Fire-Rescue PIO)

I made the photo on the left 10 years ago when the Ramtown Fire Company first installed this unique mailbox fire hydrant. Ten years later I happened to be driving by and they were replacing the old white box which had deteriorated somewhat due to the weather. I made it a point to drive by again a few days later... and here it is...very cool Ramtown Fire Co. I even had the chance to use the new barricade tape copyright.
