Bruce Lukaszewicz (BELphotos) > 1955 Brooklyn, NY - Very early in my childhood, I always suspected I was from somewhere else.
Bruce Lukaszewicz (BELphotos) > The Story Teller is an elderly gentleman that can be found at the San Diego Seaport Village on most weekends. He has a knack for conjuring up unique storys based on what the children will tell him.

Bruce Lukaszewicz (BELphotos) > These halloween ghouls were photographed in Seaside Heights, New Jersey on N. Ocean Avenue.
Bruce Lukaszewicz (BELphotos) > I went out to Starbuck's one morning and spent a few hours out of the house. When I came back, I found the cat stretched out on the couch watching the US Open with a Coors. I was PO'ed; he left the fridge open and took the last one. It was 110° in the shade that day. --- I have fallen behind a few days on posting so here is one that I shot about two months ago of my cat.
Bruce Lukaszewicz (BELphotos) > Taken in June just as the sun was coming up, this wall mural accurately memorializes the rich cultural heritage in Gallup, New Mexico. Gallup know as the "Indian Capital of the World", mainly because its location is in the heart of Native American lands, and the presence of Navajo, Zuni, Hopi and other tribes. Over one-third of the city's population of about 25,000 have Native American roots.
Bruce Lukaszewicz (BELphotos) > The MisAdventures of Samy Chipmunk - I set out the nuts and seeds and settled back for about forty-five minutes before Samy showed up. I was shooting in rapid mode and didn't realize I caught this action until I downloaded them to the computer. My demented mind immediately constructed a mental image - basically the one above. The photos are all unmodified right out of my D90, except for the cropping. The lens is a Nikon 70-300 4.5-5.6 AF ED VR. To construct the comic book style, I used Comic Life Deluxe, one of the many versatile programs used on a Mac.

BACKGROUND: I have to say that every time I view this photo I get very homesick for San Diego. This type of photograph is possible every day, including the four days that it rains, er... drizzles... mists. Well you get the idea. This photo was actually taken in the winter during the "rainy season".

THE PHOTO: I wish that I had been shooting RAW when I made this photo. So much more detail could have been captured. The framing of the photo and "poster-izing" it, I learned from Scott Kelby's book "The Photoshop Elements 5 Book for Digital Photographers". This book is loaded with tricks and tips on how to do stuff will Elements, and I'm sure they will all work with the full blown version as well.

THE LOCATION: I was on the Ocean Beach Pier in San Diego facing Dog Beach. Exact position was about 75 yards before the bait store and restaurant.

THE BIRD: He was my constant companion the rest of the day. Probably because I fed him little anchovy treats to sit and pose for me. He identified himself as Jonathan Livingston Seagull, VII. I don't know about you, but that name rings a bell.
