"A PEACE OF OCEAN BEACH" -- This stained glass peace sign was perched on this rock for eighteen months before it was taken down by thieves. The giant rock sits about seventy-five yards from the shore on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard in Ocean Beach, San Diego.
This photo was taken in June 2007. I remembered that I made this photo about six weeks after it was placed. I was reminded of the photo when I read that the artists, who still remain anonymous, created another piece and it has been set atop the Ocean Beach International Hostel. The artists, who call themselves the Peace Rockers, prefer the anonymity.
The peace sign was not the only object the artists have placed upon the rock. For more information go to:
