Bruce Lukaszewicz (BELphotos) > You just never know what will catch your eye as you drive down the road. Always have a camera and be ready to shoot.
Bruce Lukaszewicz (BELphotos) > 2009-06-08 Daily - Bicycle... The overall color saturation overpowered this photo to an extreme. The vegetation; grass and bushes, are so lush from the 40 days and nights of rain that we have had; they were just too much for the heart of the photo - the bicycle and the flower baskets. So, I got to improve my layers skill and get more proficient with my tablet and pen. Not too shabby if I do say so myself.

Bruce Lukaszewicz (BELphotos) > Steve Jobs Phasing - I have solved the mystery of Steve Job's alleged unhealthy looks. I think that Steve is phasing. Now, to arrive at this decision, you would have had to watch the Sci-Fi channel last night and the latest episode of Eureka. Sheriff Carter seemed to suffer the same effects. This and the next photo, taken with Snap Pro X, are my contributions to abstract art. The cause of this phenomenon can be attributed to my broadband provider COMCAST, who decided to choke my connection; this rendered my broadcast unwatchable.

Bruce Lukaszewicz (BELphotos) > During the construction of Hoover Dam there were few jobs that equaled the high visibility of the high scaler. A man hanging hundreds of feet in the air on the side of a deep canyon, knocking away loose rock and setting dynamite charges with a jackhammer sparked romantic images of courage and daring.

In 1995, local sculptor Steven Liguori and Hoover Dam Spillway House concessionaire Bert Hansen decided to create a bronze high scaler statue in the likeness of Joe Kine, one of the last surviving high scalers who worked on the Hoover Dam project. A clear picture of Joe Kine existed showing him in his working environment and was used as a guide to create the bronze figure. Upon completion the statue was presented to Joe on September 30, 1995, Hoover Dam's sixtieth anniversary.

Bruce Lukaszewicz (BELphotos) > This is a followup to the BAMBI did it photo. After $290 worth of parts and about eight hours work, it's back to normal. The color is off because I didn't feel like painting it. The original paint is well faded from the southwest USA sun, so the match would not have been perfect anyway. This is the way the plastic comes, they call it primed, I call it shiny black. Works for me. I'll tell you one thing I learned from all this... I'm getting too old for this stuff. My back is killing me today!!!
